Amesbury's main Christmas event, The Festive Fayre, was held in Central Car Park on Sat 2nd Dec and hailed by all to be a huge success. Despite freezing weather there was a great turnout - with the crowd being treated to a great choice of food and drink, lots of amusements and entertainment from many bands and local groups on the stage.

The event is organised by just a handful of people from The Stonehenge Chamber Events Team and is funded solely by donations - with any excess funds being donated to local charities.

A representative from the team told the trader that they'd like to thank the following businesses, who all donated assets to make the event such a success;

  • Tyrone Mundy - Santa's Appearance

  • Louise/A Date With Thyme - Mrs Christmas Appearance

  • Gemma & Kyle/A Date With Thyme - Tables, Grotto tent, Grotto gingerbreads & heating

  • Mark & Rachel Verbinnen/Wyndham Hall - Stage deck, Grotto Interior and Elves.

  • Mick Brannon/W.E.S.T - Elf and safety

  • Damian Kuczera/Sims Hospitality Ltd Staff & Bar Hire - Stage dome, stage lighting, transport.

  • Trev Parks - Bogs, bins and light tower transport

  • Vicky Parks - Logistics, use of van and best dressed! (Santa's team excluded, of course)

  • H & Leanne/H's Ices - Waste removal

  • Rob/AmeyBriggs Larkhill Camp (Amey & Briggs Equipment UK joint venture) - Light towers
