The Stonehenge Chamber of Trade enlisted the help of 42 businesses around the town centre to host a Christmas Character for the duration of December. A variety of Elves, Reindeer, Penguins and Bears were each given a name and placed in the windows. Entry forms listed the businesses involved to enable participants to complete the name of the guest. Completed forms returned to the History Centre received a cuddly gingerbread or festive ted. The form also asked for the public to vote their favourite Christmas window.
The winning window was Kingman’s Butchers who had the help of ‘Mistletoe’ elf riding a reindeer. Second place was Avon Security with Highly Commended going to Will Case and Taste.
We would like to thank all the businesses for taking part in both the window competition and playing host and to the members of the public for showing support to the Town Centre over the festive season.
