The Stonehenge Chamber of Trade events team travelled around the area over six nights accompanying Santa on his sleigh. With Durrington Events Team taking a year out they were asked if they could pay a visit to Durrington, which they happily obliged, also adding Larkhill to ensure Santa was seen by as many as possible. Several stops were made each evening to allow for photographs with the number one man. Special thanks go to Tyrone Mundy who every year transforms himself into Santa, that even his own grandchildren don’t recognise! Also thank you to Graham Wright for organising the Durrington Sleigh Day and for donning the red suit for the evening.
The Elves and Reindeers were busy with buckets and together with local business donations raised a magical £750.00 which will be used to make purchases for the local foodbanks.
We would also like to thank The Royal Artillery Museum for the loan of the trailer and on the day helpers who gave up their time to join in the fun: Cllr Laura Knight, Catherine Garvie and Briony Johnson. If you are self- employed and interested in joining the Chamber or wish to volunteer at local events, please see the Website www.stonehengechamber.co.uk
