A Fantastic Evening at the Vicky Parks Memorial Gala Raises Over £3,500 for the Stars Appeal - Pembroke Unit

On Saturday 15 November, The Stonehenge Chamber held its annual Gala Dinner at The Bowman Centre in Amesbury - which this year was hosted in memory of Vicky Parks, former chair and founder of the event. More than 80 Chamber members and guests gathered for an evening of celebration, remembrance, and outstanding generosity in aid of the Stars Appeal – Pembroke Unit at Salisbury District Hospital.

The atmosphere was epic from the start, with guests enjoying a delicious meal and the chance to connect. The undoubted highlight was a stunning live performance by 'Queen Rocks', whose high-energy set had everyone on their feet and perfectly captured the energetic spirit Vicky brought to the Chamber during her time as Chair.
Thanks to the incredible support of everyone who attended, bid, donated, and volunteered, the event raised an impressive £3,500+. Every penny will go directly to the Pembroke Unit to support vital cancer care services for local people and their families.
The Stonehenge Chamber Chair - Kyle McCletchie, said: “The generosity shown tonight truly reflects Vicky’s legacy. We’re immensely grateful to every guest, donor, and supporter who helped make the evening such a success.
A special mention must go to the local businesses whose generous auction and raffle prizes helped drive the fundraising total. Particular thanks to Hays Travel for their £500 voucher that alone raised £1,000, and to auctioneer Jeff Coy of Amesbury Filling Station for keeping the bids flowing with his trademark enthusiasm.
The evening also offered a sneak preview of the Chamber’s packed festive programme, including the ever-popular Santa Sleigh Runs, the Amesbury Festive Fayre and Christmas Light Switch-On, plus exciting plans for 2026 – watch this space for Amesbury Carnival!
Events like these remind us how fortunate we are to have such a strong, caring business community in the Stonehenge area. Thank you to everyone who helped honour Vicky’s memory in the most meaningful way possible – by continuing to support the causes and people she cared about so deeply."
